Pipe Bursting

Pipe bursting is a unique trenchless process for replacing existing pipelines with new and larger pipelines. The new larger PE or PVC pipeline is attached to a specialized pneumatic bursting tool with an expander and pulled through the smaller or failing pipe. As the new pipe is pulled through, the old pipe simply breaks away and is forced into the surrounding soil making way for safe installation of the new pipe and eliminating the need for disposal of the old pipeline fragments. Laterals are pre-dug and hooked up with fused-on or strapped-on fittings.

Pipe bursting is a time-saving, cost-saving method for replacing many types of pipelines, including VCP, RCP, ACP, CIP, and steel.
